Ausdrig Piranian Malouf
Ausdrig Piranian Malouf, 91. died at her home in Logan
and returned to our Heavenly Father January 5, 2008.
She was a loyal and dedicated Wife to her husband, a
kind. and ever devoted Mother to their children, a
sweet and loving Grandmother. a proud and gracious
Great Grandmother, and a cheerful smiling helpful
friend to all who were privileged to associate with
her in any manner.
She was born to Badwagan and Bertha Walser Piranian
January 2, 1917 in Thalwil, Zuerich, Switzerland. On
November 16, 1941 she married Raymond N. Malouf in
Glenwood, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in
the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple.
Ausdrig received her early education in Switzerland.
She earned her R.N. degree from the Johns Hopkins
Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland and
later graduated magnum cum laude with a B.S. degree
from Utah State University.
In 1955 she and her husband moved with their family
from Richfield, Utah to make their home in Logan. She
is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and has served in many auxiliary
organizations. In her youth she served for two years
in the Near East Mission of the L.D.S. Church, and
more recently she and her husband served as
missionaries on Temple Square in Salt Lake City and
later served in the Logan Temple Presidency. Ausdrig
had a keen appreciation for classical music. Her
expressions on piano and organ inspired all who were
privileged to listen.
Surviving are her husband; children Ray and Sheryl
Malouf, N. Logan;
Carole A. Malouf, Long Beach, California; James and
Dona Malouf, N. Logan; Ron and Jean Malouf, N. Ogden;
seventeen grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and
her brother, George Piranian, Ann Arbor, Michigan. She
was preceded in death by her brother, David Piranian.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 12,
2008, 12 noon, at the 18th ward chapel of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 502 East 300
North (boulevard) in Logan.
Friends may pay their respects on Friday, January 11
from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Allen (Cranney)
Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North in N .Logan and Saturday
at the church on January 12 from 10:30 to 11 :30 a.m.
Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
