Beth Nelson Kropf
NORTH LOGAN, UTAH: Beth Nelson Kropf, 78, passed away
at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday,
August 12, 2005. She was born December 27, 1926 in
North Logan, Utah to Frances Eugene Nelson and Elvira
Reeder. She was sealed to Byron Burton Kropf on
September 10, 1946 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum,
UT. Beth and Byron lived in Bremerton, WA, Vernal, UT,
Durango, Grand Junction and Arvada, CO, Weston, ID,
and Logan, UT before retiring to North Logan. Beth and
Byron spent many winters in Arizona.
Beth loved to crochet, quilt and do needle work. She
made and gave away many of her afghans. She loved to
camp, fish and spend time with her family. Beth's
large and loving heart will be missed by all who knew
her. She was a member of the LDS Church and was the
First Counselor to the Relief Society President in the
18th Ward in Arvada, Colorado.
She is survived by her husband, Byron, two sons, Duane
(Rosie) Kropf of Hyrum,Steven (Diane) Kropf of
Wellsville, daughters, Pam Dabbs and Denise Berntson,
both of North Logan; one brother, Milton and Della
Nelson, Murray, Utah, 14 grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren and numerous family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Anna
Laura Skablund, Ingrid and LaRue who died in infancy,
one brother, Eugene Nelson and one great grandson,
Trevor Gonzales.
We love and will miss you. You have been the glue
that has held our family together.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in
the North Logan 5th Ward chapel, 2750 North 800 East.
Family and friends may call at the Allen-Cranney
Mortuary Monday evening from 6-8 pm and at the church
on Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment will
be in the Cleveland Idaho Cemetery following services.
