Coralie Morrow
Logan, Utah: Coralie Morrow, 66, passed away
peacefully at her home on Wednesday afternoon. She was
a wonderful wife, amazing mother, super-grandma, and
beloved friend.
She was born May 24, 1938 in Preston, Idaho and
enjoyed her childhood on the family farm in Mink Creek
with her older brothers and sisters. She was an
exuberant, creative and playful child with many
friends. Coralie moved with her family to Logan at the
age of 14.
She married Robert Morrow on March 1, 1973, and
together raised their two children, Dennis and Debra.
Coralie worked for over 20 years at USU's Art
Department, where she dedicated herself to the
students, assisting them in any manner she could.
After retiring, her great love of quilting played a
major part in her life. She traveled to many states
for quilting shows, and spent the last several months
voluteering her time teaching 4H groups how to quilt.
She has always been very active in her church,
serving in numerous callings. Her door was always
open, and her family and friends always knew there was
a good meal, a genuine smile, and a warm hug waiting
in her home. Coralie was at her most beautiful with
her two grandsons, Elijah and Tristan. Her passion for
teaching, nurturing, and playing with them was an
omnipresent example of light. While her generosity,
joy and kindness will be deeply missed, her shining
example will live on in the hearts of the many who
were touched by her unconditional love.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday,
March 28, 2005 in the Cliffside 2nd Ward Chapel, 1350
Eastridge Drive, Logan. A viewing will be held
Sunday, March 27, 2005, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the
Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street, and from
9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to services at the church.
Interment will be in the Mink Creek Cemetery in Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the America West
Historical Quilt Collection at any Zion’s Bank would
be greatly appreciated by her family.
