Craig Vernon Tidwell
Craig Vernon Tidwell, 53 of Providence, Utah passed away September 15, 2006 from injuries sustained in a
hunting accident.
Craig was born October 3, 1952 in Los Angeles, CA to J Vernon and Betty Tidwell. He was raised in Cache Valley
and attended school in Logan. He married Debbie Tidwell on June 30, 1972.
Craig owned and operated Tidwell Construction for 29 years in Cache Valley. His reputation for quality work
was well known. He loved construction work and taught his sons to “build with pride because they care.”
Craig’s love for the outdoors went beyond his work. He spent every minute he could in the mountains hunting,
camping, 4-wheeling and horse back riding. He loved spending time with his family and sharing his love for
these things with them. Craig’s five grandchildren were the center of his universe.
Craig is survived by his wife of 34 years, Deborah L. Tidwell: children Shawn (Amy) Tidwell of River Heights, Utah;
Bryan Tidwell (Michelle) of Starkville, Mississippi; Brady (Becky) Tidwell of Providence; his mother Betty Tidwell
of Providence, his mother and father-in-law Earl and Josie Lewis of Franklin, Idaho; his brothers Gary (Barbara)
Tidwell, Lee Alan Tidwell; sisters Yvonne (Kent) Williams, Annette Tidwell, Debbie Tidwell and brother and
sister-in-law Janet & Wayne Chambers; several Aunts & Uncles and Nephews & Nieces.
Craig was preceded in death by his father J Vernon Tidwell and his brother Steven Tidwell.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Kim Frederick and Mike Carlson and the members of the
Wyoming Search and Rescue for their care and efforts.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 12 noon in the Providence 10th Ward Chapel,
355 Canyon Rd, with Bishop Wayne Campbell conducting. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson
Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and Wednesday at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in
the Providence Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at Nelson Funeral Home.
