Alamosa, Colorado: Dale Alan Rowe, 54 of Alamosa, Colorado died June 3, 2005 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 6, 1951 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Donald Arthur and Ethel Isabel Walston Rowe.

An active member of the LDS Church, he served a mission in Uruguay/Paraguay and held many, many other church positions.

He worked for the Postal Service for 30 years, ending with his dream job as Postmaster of Alamosa, Colorado for two years.

Dale loved traveling, camping, spending time with his family and friends and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Michelle Pitcher Rowe of Alamosa (formerly of Logan); his children, Kaylene Clark of Austin, Texas, Michelle Cobia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jacki Sue Hale of Colorado Springs, Jesse Hale of Alamosa and Douglas (Sara) Rowe of Ft. Benning, Georgia; father, Donald Rowe of Cottage Grove, Oregon; sister, Beth (Mel) Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and grandchildren, Bailee, Kayela and Danielle Rowe, and Rachel and Riley Clark; father and mother-in-law, Vern & Nedra Pitcher, Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandmother-in-law, Pauline R. McBride, Hyrum, Utah.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in the Alamosa Second Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2005 in the Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville, Utah.
