E. Montell Wickham
Logan-E. Montell Wickham returned to our Father in
Heaven on Sunday, November 6, 2005 in Logan, Utah.
He had just turned 93 on Oct 30th. Montell was born
Oct 30, 1912 in Honeyville Utah. At the age of 5 the
family moved to Dayton Idaho where he grew up. He was
the oldest son of Ezra and Annie Jensen Wickham. He
married Margretta Price on Dec 7, 1932 in the Logan
LDS Temple. He worked for the city of Logan for 40
years and retired in 1987.
Montell had a thirst for reading and stayed active and
still able to live at home until his return to our
Father in Heaven. He loved tending to his yard and
outdoor activities. Baseball was his favorite sport in
which he played growing up. He became a coach after
being a catcher for his ward team. He coached both
young men and young women’s
baseball teams and had many winning seasons.
Montell
also loved dancing and taught dancing in his ward.
Montell made sure that his boys and daughter all knew
how to dance. Montell had a generous heart and would
always give to others even if it meant he would have
to go without himself. His generosity to others can
never be measured here on earth but will be rewarded
in heaven by his Father in Heaven when he will be told
well done my faithful servant, come unto me.
He will be missed greatly but will be in our thoughts
and prayers daily with the knowledge of once again
greeting him with open arms.
