“Cookie”
Florence Jeanette Cosper
Our dear Mother, Grandmother, Daughter and Sister, passed away Friday, November 24, 2006. Cookie was born on
April 11, 1943, in Long Beach, California to Carl Malcom and Evelyn Salmon Sims. She was the youngest of
four daughters.
On June 22, 1962, she married the love of her life, “Lee” Marvin LeRoy Cosper Jr. The couple was later
sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They were the proud parents of two children. Cookie loved her children and
found great joy and love in her grandchildren. She always spoke of how proud she was of them and all their
accomplishments.
Cookie served in the Relief Society and Cub Scouts, but found her greatest joy serving as a Primary teacher.
Once you had Cookie as a teacher, you were her kid for life. She was able to touch many more lives through her
amazing talent of crochet. She also enjoyed embroidery and cake decorating and blessed her family and friends
with her talents.
Cookie spent many years working in the accounting field. She loved her work and enjoyed the many friendships
she made.
Cookie is preceded in death by her husband, her father, and a sister. She is survived by her children: Marvin
Cosper III; Sheila (Jack) Hoffman of Newton; 3 Grandchildren: Tiffany (Nick) Tenney of Springville, UT; Cody
Hoffman and Stacy Hoffman of Newton, UT; 1 Great Grandchild: McKenzie Tenney; her mother, Evelyn Sims of
Victorville, CA; and two sisters: Evelyn (Jim) Matson of Norwalk, CA; and Caroline (Kelly) Walters of
