Gary LaMar Walker, 44, passed away at his home in Hyrum on January 12, 2006.

Gary was born to Don LaMar and Bettie Lou Walker on May 15, 1961 in La Mesa California. Gary enjoyed many things in life, but most of all he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, baseball, football, the Utah Jazz and Nascar. He was very patriotic and loved the country he lived in. Gary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in a variety of church callings. Gary and Peggy are the proud Grandparents of seven beautiful Grandkids: Justin LaMar Peterson, 7; Bailee Shyanne Peterson, 6; Sadee Ann Peterson, 3; Kylee Madisen Call, 2; Damien James Hess, 2; Darrell William Clark, 7mo.; Hunter Don Peterson, 2 mo.

Gary is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Walker; five daughters, Bobbi (BJ) Peterson, Amargosa Valley, NV; Stefani Ann (Chis) Hess, Logan; Kalleo Dawn Walker (Zack Call), Hyrum; Jaemi Lynne Walker (Tyler Marshall), Tremonton; Traci Leigh (Darrell) Clark, Logan; and one son Gary Don Walker, Hyrum. He is also survived by one brother; Tim (Cheri) Walker; two sisters, Carol (Bob) Rollins, and Donetta Flowe; and several nieces and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by his father, Don; two nieces, and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at the Hyrum 14th Ward Chapel, 176 South 1300 East, Hyrum. There will be a viewing on Tuesday January 17, 2006 for 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan and also prior to services on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at Nelson Funeral Home.

The family has set up a special memorial fund at Wells Fargo Bank and asks that donations be made there in Gary’s name.
