C. Glen Datwyler, 84, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 16, 2004.

He was born on August 14, 1920 in Logan Utah to Fred and Selma Datwyler, the oldest of eight children. He graduated from Logan High School and attended Utah State University. He married Barbara Smith Datwyler on November 9, 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple. He served four years in the United States Air Force during World War II.

Glen loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working in his yard, and his family enjoyed visiting together surrounded by the fruits of his labor. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held various callings throughout his life, including serving as a stake missionary. He was a High Priest at the time of his death. He learned the plastering trade from his father and continued in the plastering business with Datwyler Lath and Plaster for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith Datwyler of Logan; his children, Perry Datwyler of Alameda Calif, Susan (Blaine) Bingham of Nibley, Clair Datwyler of Logan and Todd (Kim) Datwyler of Providence; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five siblings, Denzel (Joan) Datwyler of Logan, Darwin (Ellie) Datwyler of Carmel, Calif., Boyd (Jan) Datwyler of Provo, Renee Linford of St. George, Birdean (Grant) Flint of Fruit Heights and Sandra (Glen) Nielson of Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nedra Datwyler.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday Sept. 20, 2004, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan. Friends may call from10:30 to 11:45 Monday at the Allen-Hall Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.
