Gordon S. Loosle
Logan- Gordon Scott Loosle, 71, passed away suddenly
on December 26, 2007. Born August 5, 1936 in Logan,
Utah to Byron Lee and Ella Larson Loosle. He married
Joyce Sadler in the Logan LDS Temple on December 18,
1959.
He was raised in Clarkston, Utah on a farm and
graduated from North Cache High School where he
participated in baseball and basketball. He graduated
from Utah State University with a bachelor in
Psychology. He graduated from Brigham Young University
with a master of Religious Education and doctorate of
Educational Administration. He served an honorable LDS
mission to the North Central States.
For over 40 years he was an educator in Idaho, Utah
and Arizona, as a seminary teacher, counselor,
teacher, personnel director, principal and
superintendent. He was active in the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in a
variety of callings including, teacher, sunday school
president, young men’s president, stake mission
presidency and bishop.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce of
Logan, six children; Byron (Marie) of Vernal, Denee’
(Curtis) Child of Monument, Colorado, Darren (Tanya)
of West Jordan, Alanna (Mark) Avis of Ogden, Nancy of
Wichita, Kansas, Kyle of Providence, 12 grandchildren
and five siblings, Rhea Archibald, Arlene Johnson,
Lyle Loosle, Marlin Loosle and Ileen Barlow.
He is
preceded in death by his parents, his mother and
father in-law, Norman and Margaret Sadler and two
siblings, B. Stratford Loosle and Annabell Buttars.
Funeral Services will be Monday, December 31 at 1:00pm
at the Cliffside 1st Ward Chapel, 1380 E. 25 N. in
Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday,
December 30 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the Allen-Hall
Mortuary, 34 East Center Street and at the chapel
prior to funeral services from 11:30am-12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name
to the Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints.
