LONG BEACH, CA: Grace Louise Wilkinson, 83, died April 11, 2005 in Long Beach.

She was born September 20, 1921 in Whitney, Texas. She moved to Long Beach in 1940. She was a member of the Insurance Women of Long Beach since 1971 and served as their president in 1980- 1981. She was later voted as their “Woman of the Year”. Grace was an active member of the Lakewood Village Community Church and it’s ladies circle.

She had a great love of family, travel, animals, bingo and crossword puzzles. Also an avid reader, card and dominos player. She was the co-owner of Welch Insurance Agency in Los Alamitos. She was preceded in death by her husband, William John Wilkinson.

She is survived by two daughters, Deidre (Joseph) Doyle and Bobbie Montes; and longtime friends, Ruth I. Kupersmit and Joe Regan; brothers-in-law, Morris (Lorene) Hayter, George (Cloteel) Wilkinson; sister-in-law, Margaret (Garr) Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 18, 2005 at 12:00 pm in the Logan City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary from 11:00 - 11:30 am.
