Hilda Glover Wheeler
Hilda Glover Wheeler was born on April 9, 1913 in
Lewiston, Utah to Carl and Luella Glover. She entered
eternal rest on December 18, 2006 of natural causes in
Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mom married Adelbert William Wheeler on December 26,
1933 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later
solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on February 16,
1962. Dad passed away on October 30, 1992.
Mom was drama director and sports director, and she
played the piano for different organizations in the
Lewiston Second Ward.
The best and most loved church job she held was that
of Primary President.
Mom worked at Cache Valley Dairy for many years.
Mom and dad were very special parents. Not only did
they teach us love, and to have fun. They taught us
how to work hard and to help others. They also
brought special meanings to the holidays, with the
ringing of the bells and Santa. Also writing special
notes to help us find the Easter eggs on Easter.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents, two
brothers and a sister, and two babies, Carla and Kim.
She is survived by a sister, Ethel Peterson of Las Vegas, Nevada; five children, LaRae Branch of Salt Lake City, Utah, Andrea Norma (Jim) Kennedy of Avon, Colorado, Dan Wheeler of Richmond, Utah, Kay Oliverson
of Taylorsville, Utah, and Jacqueline Calsert of
Lewiston, Utah. Twelve grandchildren,27
great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mom, We all love you a lot and will miss you. There
will be a great void in our lives without you here to
beat us in Pinochle.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December
22, 2006 at 12:00 PM in the Lewiston City Cemetery. A
viewing will be held prior to services at the
Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan,
from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. Condolences may be sent to
the family at Allen Mortuaries.
