Inez B. Hill
OGDEN, UTAH - Our loving mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother Inez B. Hill 88, returned to her

Home.
Inez was born February 13, 1917 in Mendon, Utah to
Oscar J. and Elizabeth Stump Barrett. Inez married,
her first love, James E. Barnard June 26,1937 in the
Logan LDS Temple. After 24 happy years of living and
working on the family farm in Deweyville and raising a
family James passed away July 29,1961 at Deweyville,
Utah. Inez married Ray M. Hill, her second love and a
classmate from South Cache High, December 4,1969 in
the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After 25 happy years Ray
passed away April 1,1994 at Wellsville, Utah.
Inez spent her childhood in Mendon graduating from
South Cache High in 1935. After James's death, she
worked briefly for Adams Drug in Tremonton, Smiths
Food in Brigham and the IRS in Ogden. Inez was always
active with church activities, and held many positions
over her lifetime. She was called to serve as mission
housekeeper while her older brother Ivan was Mission
President of the Northwest LDS Mission. She loved the
missionary environment, and later was called as a
missionary to the Florida LDS Mission in Tampa. After
Ray retired, he and Inez were called to serve a
Mission to North Carolina on the outer banks at
Harkers Island, North Carolina.
Inez was known for her cooking abilities, her
beautiful quilts and the wonderful meals she served to
family and friends. She spent countless hours
collecting genealogy facts and histories. She loved to
grow flowers and a vegetable garden was a must each
year.
