John Paul Bostock
Providence, UT / Southern California—John Paul
Bostock, 64, died on March 16, 2007, of sudden heart
failure, in Corona, California.
Born December 14, 1942, in Hyrum, Utah, to William and
Alice Ann Hulse Bostock. Paul was the 13th of 14
children.
Paul attended school in Hyrum, graduating from
South Cache High School. He joined the U.S. Army, and
served in Germany. After chasing Julie (Julona)
Leishman of Wellsville for many years, the two were
married on October 7, 1966, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Paul received his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from
Utah State University. He worked as an accountant
after graduation. Paul then worked for Bourns Inc. in
Logan, Utah, for 23 years. Afterward Paul
successfully accomplished his lifetime dream, starting
a company and being able to work with his family on a
daily basis.
Paul and Julie are the parents of six children:
Michael; John, (Natalie); Julie Ann; Eric; Alison,
(Sage); Craig, (Reena); and 10 grandchildren Aleena,
Tristyn, Taylor, Dylan, Jace, Brianna, Zyan, Taija,
Akalia, and Merrick. Paul lived everyday to serve
Julie, his children, and his grandchildren. They all
know of the love that he had for them. Likewise, they
adored and admired him dearly.
Paul was a High Priest; he had been an active
member of the LDS Church, serving in various
positions.
J. Paul Bostock was a man of goodness. His life
was defined and marked by his selfless service to his
family and friends. He bettered the life of everyone
with whom he came in contact. Paul knew the value of
hard work, honesty, and sought to instill these values
in his children. He will be missed greatly.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Julie L.
Bostock, one brother, four sisters, his 6 children and
10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March
24, at noon at the Fruitland Acres Ward, 464 N. 300
E., Providence. Friends and family are invited to
attend a viewing on Friday, March 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.
at Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah,
or prior to the funeral services on Saturday, at the
(ruitland Acres Ward from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Interment
will follow the funeral services at the Providence
Cemetery, Providence, Utah.
