Joseph Lynn Olsen, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was taken from us in an automobile accident on October 15, 2004, near Evanston, Wyoming.

Joe was born on March 14, 1929, to Harvey J. and Marie L. Olsen in College Ward, Cache Valley, Utah and spent his early years there. He lived most of his life in the Ogden area and enjoyed his later years in Albany, Missouri.

Friends and family characterize him as a hard working, charitable, gentle man who was happiest when he was serving God or was able to help someone in need. He was a member of the LDS church, was married in the temple, and served in many church callings, including, as a temple worker and as a missionary in the Adam-Ondi-Ahman Mission. He also served in the armed forces for two years. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Surviving are three daughters, Brooke Olsen Brough (Ron) of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Jolet Olsen of New York City, New York; and Holly Olsen of Dallas, Texas; and two grandsons, Matthew Olsen and Michael Brough. Also surviving are three sisters, Clara Barlow, Reta Fyffe, and Caroll Orton, and two brothers, Doyle and Gerald Olsen.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, October 22 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, in Logan, Utah 84321. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, October 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary and prior to services on Friday from 10:30-11:45 am. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
