Kailey Erica Mathews
Nibley-Kailey Erica Mathews, 14, returned to the
loving arms of her Father in Heaven on March 22, 2007.
She was born August 21, 1992 in Logan Utah to Tony &
Tereasa Mathews.
Kailey grew up in Providence and had
recently moved to Nibley this past year. She enjoyed
so many things. She loved taking pictures & was on the
Year Book Staff. She loved to dance and had taken
lessons for 10 years. She loved listening to music,
playing on the computer, talking on the phone and
being with her very special friends. Kailey enjoyed
being with her family, and was very close to her mom.
They spent so much time talking, laughing and just
being together. She loved going hunting, fishing &
riding on the 4 wheeler with her dad & grandpa She had
a very special place in her heart for her favorite
Aunt Kristie" who was always there for her and helped
her so much. Kailey grew up with two sisters & two
brothers and was very close to them.
She was also a
member of the LDS church. She had the most beautiful
smile and a giggle that could make anyone smile. She
was an amazing girl who was loved by so many. We all
feel such an enormous loss having her gone. We will
all miss you sis.
Kailey is survived by her loving parents. Her sisters;
Daycie and Alex, Her brothers; Tyce and Kason.
Grandparents; Butch & Marie Clegg (Millville) Tim &
Barbara Mathews (Providence) Aunt Kristie & Uncle
Kevin Sorensen (Hyrum) also Uncle Brady Mathews
(Providence) Cousins; Kyler (Kimberly) Sorensen
(Logan), Mikhol, Cameron, Kade & Karisa Sorensen
(Hyrum).
A special Thank you to the Smith Family, who
always made Kailey feel like one of their own.
She attended South Cache freshman center in Hyrum
Utah, where she had so many friends, teachers and
counselors who loved her. A special thank you to Terri
Cutler and Alex Hansen for always being there for her.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at
Logan Regional, Life Flight and all those from Primary
Children's Hospital who took care of her.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 27 at
12:00 noon at the Nibley Stake Center 3701 South 450
West, Nibley. Friends and family are invited to attend
a viewing from 6-8 pm Monday, March 26 at the
Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 East Center in Logan or at the
Stake Center in Nibley from 10:30 - 11 :30 prior to
the funeral services. Burial will be at the Logan
City Cemetery following funeral services.
