HYRUM, UTAH: Katie Isabella Merrill, 17 months, beloved daughter of Jacob Vernon and Laura Nelson Merrill returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday morning, September 12, 2004.

She was the joy and delight of her family and best playmate of her big brother Isaiah Vernon Merrill. Katie was born April 8, 2003 in Logan. We will miss her big blue eyes and long curly brown hair, the sweet tender pats of her innocent little hands, and her favorite words; Daddy, nummie, uh-oh and baby. We know that she is in a kinder, gentler place where she will be loved and cherished until we see her again.

Katie is survived by her parents of Hyrum, grandparents; Amos and Elsie Merrill of Weston, Idaho; Mark and Dorothy Nelson, Hyrum; She has many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and great-grandparents who will also miss her dearly. Katie was preceded in death by an infant uncle, Amos Vernon Merrill Jr and aunt, Barbara Nelson. We are comforted to know that she is with them again.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:00 pm in the Hyrum 12th Ward chapel, 178 South 1300 East, Hyrum. A viewing will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery. Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
