Larry Delwyn Apgood
Larry Delwyn Apgood, 63, passed away at his home in
Clarkston with family by his side on April 20, 2007.
Born August 8, 1943 in Logan, Utah to Frank Delwyn
Apgood and Vendalin Myler Apgood, the eldest of four
children.
He graduated from North Cache High School and then
served an LDS Mission to the Central Atlantic States
Mission from 1962 to 1964.
He married Valene Nelson in the Logan Temple on June
3, 1966.
He was employed at the Defense Depot Ogden, Ogden,
Utah for 29 years until he retired in 1995.
Larry always enjoyed a good laugh and a good joke.
His sense of humor helped to carry him through some of
the rough times.
Before his illness he enjoyed riding horses, going to
horse shows, hunting trips and spending time outdoors.
He held several callings in church including Sunday
School President, Counselor in Elders Quorum and
Sunday School teacher.
He enjoyed the visits from all his 11 grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his
sister Sharlene.
He is survived by his wife, Valene; sons and
daughters, Bryan (Tanis) Apgood of Clarkston, Utah,
Camille (Jared) Ashby of Newton, Utah, Crystal (Gene)
Maxwell of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and Randall
(Kelly) Apgood of Hyrum, Utah and his 11 grand
children Dax, Tessa and Kye Apgood, Benjamin, Rachel,
Selina, Emma, Karina and William Ashby, Morgan and
Lacie Maxwell and his brother Mark (Sharon) Apgood of
Smithfield, Utah and sister Pam (Bill) Smith of Deer
Lodge Montana.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday,
April 24, 2007 in the Clarkston First Ward Chapel. A
viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 to
8:00 PM at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East
1800 North in North Logan, and prior to services on
Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Interment will be
in the Clarkston Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to
the family at Allen Mortuaries.
