Leslie D. Eskelson
Leslie D. Eskelson, 68, passed away surrounded by his
family on Thursday, November 17, 2005 in Logan. He was
born to John Doris and Lucille Davis Eskelson. The
family moved from Preston, Idaho to High Creek, Utah.
He was the oldest of seven children.
Leslie attended school in Lewiston and graduated from
North Cache High School in 1955. He married Marjorie
Ann Cannon on October 3, 1958 in the Logan L.D.S.
Temple. They had six children.
Leslie worked construction and worked at Anderson
Coach. He retired from Cache County School District
after 33 years of service.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father and
grandfather. He was a very hard worker and touched
many lives. He had a great sense of humor and was a
positive influence.
He loved horses, coaching his kids sports, the
outdoors, camping, traveling, hiking, and zuking with
his wife and kids. He was very family oriented.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years,
Marjorie, and children Read (Denae) Eskelson of
Smithfield, Melanie (Mike) Christensen of Wellsville,
Deneice (Tod) Housley of Richmond, Melissa (Jason)
Dattage of Millville, and Corey (Melissa) Eskelson of
Smithfield. He is also survived by his mother, Lucille
Eskelson, brothers LeRoy (Linda) Eskelson, Jonny
(Libby) Eskelson, and Jerry (Lona) Eskelson and his
sister Bonnie (Vanoy) Godfrey and 15 grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by daughter, Rondalyn, father
J.D. Eskelson and brothers Richard and Terry.
Funeral services will be at noon, Monday, November
21, 2005 at the Smithfield L.D.S. 16th Ward, 625 East
600 South. Friends may call from 6 to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 East 1800
North, North Logan and at the Church on Monday from
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Smithfield
City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family
and a register book signed at Allen Mortuaries.
