Lois Olsen

LOGAN, UTAH: Lois Olsen, 85, life-long resident of Logan , passed away on Monday, April 18, 2005.

Lois was born April 16, 1920 in Logan, Utah a daughter of Alice Ewer and James Olsen. She was the last child in a family of 12 children, seven boys and five girls. Except for one sister, all have passed away.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lois had a nick-name “The Horse Lady” because of her love of horses, which she had many of and rode many miles in the Logan and Wellsville mountains. She also enjoyed and appreciated the beauties of nature. Lois was employed at the Budge Hospital and then for 37 years at Utah State University Food Services as one of those “good home-town cooks , who, with very little formal training prepares great home-made type meals.”

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 22, 2005 at 12:00 pm in the Logan City Cemetery. Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
