Logan, Utah: Larry Strickland was born November 3, 1935 in Maywood, California. He spent most of his early years in Southern California. He married Marie Estivo in 1956. Together they had three children; Lori, Lisa, and Larry Strickland. He was later divorced. He married Bonnie McCollum in May 1979. They moved to Logan in 1982.

As a teenager Larry played high school baseball and football. He loved doing artwork, especially characters. In his later years he enjoyed reading, history, and painting (he was quite good with oil and watercolors and many of his paintings are still cherished by his children. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities like fishing and golf.

Larry will be especially remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. And behind his comical ways he was a deeply sensitive man.

He leaves behind his best friend an companion, Charlie, his always faithful springer spaniel and his children, Lori Nicklen, Lisa Pickard (Dave), and Larry Jr. (Dawn); grandchildren are John, David, Timmy, Lachele, Lauren, Lawrence, and Sean; one great granddaughter, Macayla. Larry has a brother, Ed Strickland (Fran), and nephews, Steve (Annette), Joe, and niece Felice. Also grandnieces and nephew, Tanauna, Toni, Niki, Trae and Katana. Along with all his family he will be greatly missed by his many friends.

There will be an open house on Tuesday, November 30th between 12 Noon and 2 p.m. at the home of Ed and Fran Strickland, 1473 North 1750 East, Logan, Utah.
