LOGAN--Linda Thedell Mendez Ugalde, 42, passed away February 22, 2005 following a prolonged illness. Born July 8, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arne Conrad and Helen Dean Thedel. Married Jorge Mendez in Logan, Utah November 1982. They were later divorced.

Married Hugo Antonio Ugalde in Logan, Utah April 6, 1995.

She attended Logan City schools, graduating from Logan High School in 1980. In the 1980s she attended USU, completing most of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in business.

Survived by a son, Steven Edward Mendez (Stephanie) of Logan, a daughter, Jennifer Linda Mendez, of Logan, and a step-son, Antonio ("Chico") Ugalde, of Brigham City; a brother, Terry Thedell (June) of San Diego, CA, a sister, Deborah T. Kohrs (Ben) of Shattuck, Oklahoma; two granddaughters and two adoptive grandsons. Preceded in death by parents.

A memorial service will be celebrated at First Presbyterian Church of Logan, 200 West Center Street, Friday, March 4, at 7:00 p.m., under the direction of Linda' s brother-in-law, The Rev. Ben L. Kohrs. Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
