SMITHFIELD, UTAH: Mildred Jean Unsworth Chambers, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 17, 2005.

She was born in Hyrum, Utah the daughter of Charles C. Unsworth and Agnes Liljenquist Unsworth. She married James William Chambers. He passed away in 1989.

She was a seamstress at Logan Knitting Mills for 22 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings in her lifetime. She was very proud of her patriotism and her pioneer heritage. She was a very strong Republican. Mildred was blessed with many talents, including family historian, playing the organ by ear, collecting, and sewing. She had a love for life and her family with their many accomplishments, especially missionary service and Eagle Scout awards.

She is survived by her children, Valarie Chambers, Logan; James Ronald and Evelyn Chambers, Benson; Mary Jean and Larry Rasmussen, Mink Creek, ID; Lucille Byington, Providence; sister, Virginia Fife, Elk Grove, CA; brother, Quentin and Lorraine Unsworth, Malad, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Caleen Chambers 1968, granddaughter, DeeAnn Chambers 1985, a son, Steve Chambers 1989, son-in-law, Allen Byington 1998, sisters, Fern, Lois and Donnell, brothers, Charles, Jim, Mervin, Millard, Lindon.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 pm in the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 10:30 - 11:45 am. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
