Margarethe (Gretel) Fluckiger had a heavenly reunion as she was reunited with her sweetheart April 2l, 2005 having just celebrated her 91st birthday.

She was born April 1, 1914 in Kiel, Germany to Wilhelm and Merryanne Heimann. She was the youngest of three children and joined the LDS church with her family at the age of 10. At age 24, she came alone from Germany to marry Norville Loran FIuckiger in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Bedford, Wyoming and in 1973 moved to Logan, Utah.

She was a tidy homemaker, who loved flowers and genealogy work. Gretel cared for parents and family friend, Fanny Mettlemann after they came to America. An active member of the LDS Church, she supported her husband in his church responsibilities and served as Relief Society President, Primary teacher, visiting teacher, temple worker and ward organist. She also served a mission with her husband in the Swiss Temple.

Her husband, Norville, her parents, brother, sister, and son-in-law, Walden Draney preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children; Elno (Karen) serving a mission in Scotland, Evelyn (Gary) Jenkins, Karen (Fred) Baumgart, Salt Lake; Helen Draney, Afton, WY; Frank (Sheryl), Layton; Renee (Larry) Marks, Brookings, OR; Dale (Lanis) Grover, WY; Verna (Scott) Rhine, Oak Harbor, WA; Blaine (Debra), Logan; 46 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 26th at 11 :00 am at Allen-Hall Mortuary. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Graveside services will be held in the Bedford Cemetery at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Missionary or the Perpetual Education Fund.
