MILLVILLE, UTAH: Marise H. Nordick,65, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away at her home, September 29,2004, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born September 7, 1939, in Logan, Utah, to Cleon and Leah Humphreys. She married Harold Lee Nordick November 12, 1959, in the Logan LDS Temple and had 4 children.

Marise was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many capacities. She loved serving others and spending time with family and friends.

She loved sports, especially bowling, volleyball, and softball. She had a mean fast pitch and consistently got on base. She was a great homemaker. Everyone loved her rolls, pies, and pancakes. She was a great seamstress and loved making crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Harold, and children: Kristy (Paul) Garr, Shelley Nordick, Angie (Craig) Ballam, and Troy (Amber) Nordick, and her grandchildren, KC, Devin, Whitney, Bryndie, Chiara, Sofia, Kaden, and London. She is also survived by her mother, Leah Humphreys and brothers and sisters: JC (LaMay) Humphreys, Janet Bankhead, Dale (Christie) Humphreys, Bob (Donna Jean) Humphreys, Lynette Edwards, and Kevin (Lori e) Humphreys. She was preceded in death by her father, Cleon Humphreys, and an infant brother, Orvan Humphreys.

The family would like to thank all of mother's friends and family members for the support and special care they've shown over the past several years. Mother loved you all.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the Millville 3rd Ward Chapel, 110 South Main Street, Millville. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3,2004, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, and also from 10:30 - 11 :30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Millville Cemetery.
