Marvilla Thomas Colon Pitcher of Logan, Utah, died Tuesday, September 21, 2004 in Brigham City at the Pioneer Nursing Home from causes incident to age.

She was born on January 6, 1910 in Paradise, Utah, to Orson Thomas and Eliza James. She married Arthur Colon of Ashton, Idaho, in May of 1931. They had one child, Colleen Colon who was born in 1938. Arthur died in 1940 from cancer.

She married Harold Austin Pitcher on January 6, 1942. They had one child, Harold Bruce who was born on July 16, 1943. They were later sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple in 1956.

Marvilla worked as a school lunch cook for over 30 years, dividing her time between the Woodruff and Ellis Elementary Schools.

She was an active member in the LDS church, serving in the Sunday School and Primary Presidencies.

She loved her family and was proud of their accomplishments.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
