Pauline R. McBride
Pauline Riggs McBride, 84 of Hyrum, Utah, passed away
peacefully at her home, August 14, 2007.
She was born
21 March 1923 in Wellsville, Utah. To Fred and
Marvilla Riggs and spent the early years of her life
on the family farm in Wellsville. She married Wells
McBride, 24 August 1939 in Logan, Utah. They were
later sealed together in the Logan Temple 5 November
1947. They enjoyed 64 years together.
She was a
lifelong, faithful member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many
callings throughout her life, including, Relief
Society and Sunday School.
Pauline worked for "Maud
Lindquist Dress Shop" in Hyrum and for "Hallmark" in
Logan for many years. She was a member of the Cynthia
Benson Camp for the Daughters of The Utah Pioneers.
Pauline was a very precise, hard working and
particular person, and took great pride in her home
and nurturing her garden. She enjoyed crocheting and
made many beautiful dollies that were gifts to her
family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Nedra M. (Speed)
Pitcher, Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren
and fourteen great grandchildren. Her sisters:
Katherine (Myron) Fredrick, Salem, Utah; Betty (Jay)
Bankhead, Providence; Karen (Clyde) Haycock, Layton,
brothers: Fred J. (Jeanne) Riggs, Ogden, Evan (Sherma)
Riggs, Providence.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wells, who
passed away 6 November 2003, parents, sister MerElda
(Keith) McBride, Hyrum, brother, Charles J. Riggs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday,
August 18, 2007 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34
East Center Street, Logan where friends may call on
Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from
9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be
in the Hyrum Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude and
appreciation to all the care givers at Intermountain
Health Care Home Health, for the care and attention
give to our Mother and Grandmother.
