three months he was sent to Naples, Italy where for
the next two years he used his carpentry skills at the
Seventh Replacement Depot. He returned home in 1945.
Reed worked as a carpenter and general contractor in
Logan for many years. He was a skilled carpenter and
many homes and businesses reflect his skill and
attention to detail. He served for several years as
the commander of the American Legion Logan Post and
spent many years performing military honors at
veterans’ graveside services.

loving husband and was anxious to be reunited with his
loving wife, Elda. He spent many hours entertaining
his grandchildren in his woodworking shop. He was
always patient and grateful for anything people did
for him.
