Tara Lynn Seigenberg
Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Tara
Lynn Seigenberg, 21, returned to the arms of her
Heavenly Father on April 13, 2006 due to unexpected
medical complications.
Tara was born on June 20, 1984 in Provo, Utah to
Russell and Nancy Seigenberg. Growing up in Logan,
Utah, Tara obtained her education at Adams Elementary
School, Logan Middle School, and Logan High School.
After completing her studies, Tara spent several years
working and skiing at Alta Ski Resort in Little
Cottonwood Canyon. She also spent time living and
working in Logan, Utah and Park City, Utah.
Tara loved life. Friends and family will always
remember the example Tara set of making the most out
of each and every day. She was a talented, determined,
and fearless skier. Tara liked to relate exciting,
often times harrowing, stories of catching "big air"
and skiing in the backcountry to her much less
adventurous family. She was passionate about the
outdoors and also loved hiking, biking, rock climbing
and camping. She was a talented musician,
photographer, writer, and the family computer
technician. She never got caught up in the trivial
matters of this life, and found true happiness in the
simple things of the earth.
Tara had a constant thirst for knowledge. She enjoyed
reading books on natural healing, philosophy, and
spirituality. She was both philosophical and
analytical, a master communicator who loved to talk
and listen to anyone. From the time she was a small
child she could carry on captivating discussions with
people of all ages. She was inquisitive and
independent and had a deep need to discover everything
for her self.
The essence of Tara was her happy disposition and
easygoing personality. Beautiful, inside and out, Tara
embraced the people that were dear to her. Tara was
always true and loyal to her family and friends. She
enjoyed spending time with her family and especially
loved playing and caring for her two nieces, Leah and
Eva. Tara was a true friend and was often found
listening to and comforting others. She had a great
love of animals and took special interest in her two
dogs, Rocky and Zach. She cared deeply about her
community, the environment, and the world as a whole.
In recent months, Tara had made a decision to reach
out with unconditional love to every person she met.
Her friends and family were very impressed with both
the depth of her conviction and her ability to put her
beliefs into action. Her life was short, but filled
with a great deal of significant experiences,
learning, and progression.
Her family finds comfort in a promise given that
Tara's Heavenly Father would watch over her at all
times in her mortal life. Tara is now continuing to
learn, study and grow under the tender care of the
Master. We believe she is enjoying her new
opportunities to meet people and acquire knowledge.
Tara is survived by her loving parents, Russell and
Nancy Seigenberg of Logan, Utah and her sisters Rachel
Ratchford (David) of Bountiful, Utah and Karla
Christiansen (Justin) of Honolulu, Hawaii. She is
also survived by her grandmother Edith Seigenberg, her
grandfather Paul Salonen, and many more extended
family members.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday,
April 24, 2006 at Allen-Hall Mortuary located at 34
East Center Street, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be
held on Sunday April 23 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and
from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Monday prior to the services.
These services will be followed by interment at the
Logan Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family
at Allen Mortuaries.
