Vendalin M. Apgood
Clarkston, Utah: Vendalin Myler Apgood slipped
peacefully from this world and returned home to her
Heavenly Father on July 11, 2006. Once again she has
been reunited with the love of her life Frank Delwyn
Apgood.
She was born December 13, 1919 at the family home in
Clarkston, UT, to George Joseph Myler and Rachel
Buttars Myler.
Mom grew up in Clarkston attending Cache County
Schools and graduating from North Cache High School.
She attended Utah State College of Agriculture then
went to Ogden to work where she met her special
sweetheart Frank Delwyn Apgood. They were married
July 30, 1942 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Their union produced four children, Larry, Mark,
Sharlene, and Pamra. She enjoyed spending time with
her immediate and extended family. She and Delwyn
belonged to the Clarkston Riding Cub and enjoyed
riding horses and having picnics at the Posse Grounds.
Mom was a member of the LDS Church serving in many
callings, the Primary, Young Womens, Relief Society,
and she served as a Stake and Ward missionary. She
loved the gospel and served with all of her energy in
each calling. Mom loved doing family history and was
proud of her Pioneer heritage. She also enjoyed
working at Cache Valley Dairy and Lewiston School
where she made many friends.
She is survived by her children Larry (Valene) of
Clarkston, Mark (Sharon) of Smithfield, Pamra (Bill)
Smith of Clarkston, and a brother George Blaine
(Norma) Myler of Mesa, AZ. She has 8 grandchildren,
14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Frank
Delwyn Apgood, daughter Sharlene Apgood, her mother
and father, and four sisters, Lelia Thompson, Sarah
Godfrey, Mary Standing, and Ruby Godfrey.
We would like to thank the staff at Alpine Home Care
and Hospice for the tender care that they showed Mom
in the final days of her stay here on Earth.
