LOGAN, UTAH -- Weldon Crockett Kofoed, 85, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2004. Weldon was born on June 17, 1919, in Preston, Idaho to John Andrew and Ivy Maud Crockett Kofoed. He married Delva Ewing on February 21, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of three daughters and two sons.

Weldon grew up and attended school in Preston, Idaho. After high school graduation, he completed his bachelor’s degree ant Utah State Agricultural College and joined the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a high priest in the Logan 8th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. From 1985 to 1986 he served a full-time mission with his wife, Delva, in the Kentucky Louisville Mission.

Weldon enjoyed silver smithing and jewelry making. He was employed for 36 years by S.E. Needham's Jewelers. Weldon loved the Lord and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He shared his testimony with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Delva; children, Kathryn (Bill) Comish, Pamela (David) Austin, Leslie (Richard) Austin, Clair (Susan), and Jim (Geri); twenty grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Alease Larsen.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 29,2004, in the Logan 8th Ward chapel, 325 Lauralin Drive, Logan, with Bishop Marlin Grant conducting.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, and from 10:30 to 11 :30 a.m. at the chapel prior to the services.

Internment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery with military honors by the Smithfield American Legion.
