Anna C. Fisher
Cornish, Utah- Anna Cora Kohnhorst Fisher was born
April 2, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and
Alida Rosina Bijl Kohnhorst. She passed away
peacefully April 26, 2003 at Logan Regional Hospital
in Logan, Utah. She married Vaughn (Bub) Neff Fisher
on June 15, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Ann graduated from East High School in Salt Lake
City. She worked as a supervisor at Kresses, and
Aeurbachs. After marrying Bub she worked with him on
the family farm and the Fisher Dairy, processing milk
and home delivery. They lived most of their lives in
Salt Lake where they raised their children.
In 1976 Anna and Bub moved to Cornish, Utah where
they retired and helped their son Brad farm and
manufacture wheel weights for Fisher Manufacturing.
Ann also worked in the Cornish Post Office.
Ann held many positions in the Grandview and Cornish
Ward. She also served as President of Pi Kappa Alpha
Fraternity Mothers Club at the University of Utah.
Mom’s life was dedicated to her family. She was
concerned for their well being and happiness. Her
grandchildren and great grandchildren were a continual
joy in her life. She loved to work with her hands and
made many beautiful Afghans and sweaters. The last few
years of her life have been spent making countless
volumes of scrapbooks leaving many memories for her
family to enjoy.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Hirst and Dr. Eskelson
and the staff of wonderful nurses at the Logan
Regional and Franklin County Hospitals.
Anna is survived by her son L Bard Fisher (Lynn) of
Cornish and Georgia (Max) Gundersen, Dayton, Idaho, a
sister, Rose Alice (William) Bailey, and a brother,
Stanley Joe (Shirley) Kohnhorst, Washington, Utah,
nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and
three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her husband Vaughn, parents and a
sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday,
April 30, 2003 in the Cornish LDS Ward Chapel, 1200
North 400 West, Trenton, Utah with Bishop Douglas
Maughan conducting. Friends may call on Tuesday
evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary,
420 East 1800 North, North Logan and at the Church on
Wednesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a. m. prior to
services. Burial will be in the Cornish Cemetery,
Cornish, Utah.
