Barbara Maughan Parkinson Watts
Barbara Maughan Parkinson Watts, of Logan, passed away

Watts of St. George; Joe and Sharon Watts of Salt Lake
City; Gary and Mildred Watts of Provo; Barbara and
John Kerr of Logan; and Steve and Beckie Watts of
Orem. She has 20 grandchildren and 32 great
grandchildren.
She was born August 12, 1911, in Rexburg, Idaho, to
Joseph and Ida Maughan Parkinson. She was the fifth of
nine children. Her brother Berkely Parkinson and his
wife Dorothy live in Rexburg. Surviving spouses of her
brothers and sisters are Lil Parkinson and Jack
Nelson. Her other brothers and sisters are deceased.
They included brothers Joe, Seth, Maughan, and Doug
Parkinson, and sisters Mary Cannon, Gretta Romney, and
Kirma Nelson.
She married her Rexburg neighbor and childhood
sweetheart, Conley Watts, in September, 1934. She was
a teacher while her husband coached basketball at
South Cache and Davis High Schools. They settled in
Logan where Conley was co-founder of Cache Valley
Builders Supply. It was very successful and provided
them the opportunity to be of service to the community
in many capacities. They both held leadership
positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints.
After Con passed away in 1976, she continued an active
life centered on family, friends, church, and
community. She found much enjoyment in her close
friendships, social clubs, DUP, church activities,
temple service and volunteer work at the Logan
Regional Medical Center. She was a gracious hostess
and her home was always open to family and friends.
She inspired everyone by the style and grace in which
she lived her life.
Funeral services recognizing her life of service and
friendship will be held Saturday, July 17th, at 2 p.m.
at the Hillcrest 2nd Ward Chapel, 875 North 1500 East
in Logan.
Friends and family members are invited to reminisce
together on Friday, July 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at
the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, in Logan, and
on Saturday at the chapel one hour prior to the
service.
Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery aside the grave
of the partner she loved, cherished, and thought about
every day since their parting 28 years ago.
The family wishes to express deep gratitude to Hospice
