Cathryn Carter
CATHRYN CARTER, (Cathi), 61, left this life on
February 2, 2004 and returned to the loving arms of
her Heavenly Father after a short, intense battle with
cancer.
Cathi was born on April 8, 1942 to Glen and Maurine
Erickson. She attended local schools and was a drum
majorette at Logan High School and USU. She worked
many capacities in her life, including being a
mortgage loan officer and various other banking
positions. She also served in many positions of
public service, which included being a deputy sheriff
for Cache County.
Cathi married James Leishman on November 3, 1961, and
from this union 2 sons were born; James (Scott)
Leishman and Edwin (Kelly) Leishman. They were later
divorced. Cathi married Darius Carter on April 25,
1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cathi really enjoyed life
and enjoyed herself with family and friends. She
loved her kids and in many cases had more kids than
she really knew. Her son’s friends know what that
means.
Cathi had a great love for animals and always had
dogs, cats, or horses, and loved them more than
anything else in the world. She will be greatly
missed by those around her, but will always have great
memories of her and times we shared.
She is survived by her husband Darius Carter; 2 sons
James Scott (Becky) Leishman of Nibley, and Edwin
Kelly (Cheri) Leishman, and her four step children,
Wendy, Sherm, Travis, Chet Carter and their spouses.
Her mother, Maurine Erickson; brother, William (Bill)
Erickson. 3 grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, and
Katherine Nicole Leishman, and several
step-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by
her father, Glenn Erickson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Strong,
M.D. and Logan Fire and Ambulance for all they did on
the part of Cathryn.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 6, 2004, at
12:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center
Street, Logan, Utah with a viewing 1 hour prior to the
service. Interment will be at the Logan Cemetery.
