Cecil L. Walker
Logan, Utah - Cecil L. Walker, 83, passed away
peacefully and surrounded by his loving
family on August 27, 2003 in Logan, UT.
Born Cecil Lester Walker on December 3,
1919 in Lyman, WY to Lester Vernal Walker and Jessie
Kidman Walker. Cecil was a
geologist by profession. He was also an accomplished
artist, master builder, and avid
outdoorsman.
Cecil was a faithful, active member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints and loved his Heavenly Father. Cecil
always remained close to his
family and had a tremendous influence on those that
knew him. His fishing trips (and
other family outings) will always be remembered with a
smile. He always had a special
place in his heart for his grandchildren and great
grandchildren and they will forever be
blessed by his memory and love.
He will be greatly
missed by his wife of 60 years
Geneva, one son, David (Carolyn) Walker, Riverton, UT,
Daughters, Sherry (Steve)
Broadbent, Lehi, UT, Barbara (Rod) Blackford,
Highlands Ranch, CO, and Cindy (Ken)
White, North Logan, UT. He is also survived by 2
brothers, Robert (Maizie) Walker,
Cheyenne, WY, Orlo (Zolene) Walker, Centerville, UT
and 25 grandchildren, and 19
great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Cecil Walker will be Saturday,
August 30, 2003 at the Logan
10th Ward Chapel, 792 North 500 East at 10:30am.
Friends may call from 9:30am to
10:15am on Saturday prior to services. Interment will
be in the Logan Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to
Laura (granddaughter) for the
loving care that she extended to her favorite
“patient”. The family would also like to
thank the IHC hospice team (Bill and Margi) and Dr.
Nash (and staff) for their wonderful
support and care.
