Denise Lynn Jeppesen
Orem, Utah - Surrounded by her family, Denise Lynn Reichman
Jeppesen, 44, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, May 18,2004 at the
Beehive Comfort Care in Orem Utah,
after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's
Disease). She was born on October 22,1959
in Topeka Kansas, the daughter of Dave and Mary
Reichman.
As a young child, she had the
opportunity to travel with her parents who served in
the United States Air Force, living in Libya,
Guam, and graduated from Centerville High School in
Montana.
Denise met her husband Mike in Columbus Mississippi
and they were married on March
15, 1980 in the Logan LD.S. Temple. Denise and Mike
have resided in North Logan, Hyde
Park, and Orem Utah. Denise continued her education at
Utah State University and received her
B.S. Degree in Secondary Education and a Masters
Degree in History.
Denise enjoyed working in private business the past
few years creating gourmet food
products for several companies. She worked for the
Utah Festival Opera Company, and did
substitute teaching for the Logan and Cache County
School Districts.
She was active in the LDS Church, serving in many
positions in the ward and stake.
She especially enjoyed working with the youth and
enjoyed their love for life. Denise was
skilled in genealogy, and loved helping everyone
understand how to do research for their
ancestors.
Denise has always loved her daughters and will be
missed very much. She is survived by
her husband, Michael, daughters; Mary Lynn, Rachel,
Lindsay, and Kelli, her parents Dave of
Spokane Washington and Mary Reichman of Hyde Park.
Brothers, Doug, Don, Dana Mark, and
Derek. She is also survived by her mother-in-law
Claudia Jeppesen.
She was preceded in death
by her infant brother Duane, and her father-in-law
Earl Jeppesen.
Funeral services will be held at 1 :00 P.M. on
Saturday, May 22, 2004, at the Hyde Park
Stake Center, 535 East 200 South in Hyde Park, Utah
with Bishop Brett West of the Suncrest 1st Ward, Orem, Utah officiating. A viewing will be held
on Saturday, May 22 at the Stake Center
from 10:00 AM. to 12:30 P.M. Internment will be in the
Providence Cemetery. Arrangements by Allen-Cranney
Mortuary, North Logan.
The family would like to express appreciation to Dr.
Mark Bromberg, the ALS Clinic
Staff at the University of Utah, MDA of Salt Lake, IHC
Hospice, Beehive Comfort Care of
Orem, Vicki Hardman, and her good friend and doctor,
Sue Dyle. The family would also give
special thanks to Denise's mother who stayed by her
