Photographs encompassing their mother's life were on
display. They gave a history of her life recounting
various interludes including motherhood, traveler,
adventurer, and a woman of distinction.
As the wife of an Air Force Officer, she lived in six
different states and one foreign country. She was a
member of the First Presbyterian Church and active in
PTA, scouting, her children's sports and other events.
In all ports of call she was an avid gardener, member
of the American Iris Society and was a National Flower
Show Judge. After her husband retired she became

Roswell Woman's Club and President of the General
Federation of Women's Clubs of New Mexico, 1990-1992.
For 16 years she traveled with Patricia and Jerry to
GFWC International Conventions. In 1990 she was
honored as a Woman of Significance, an organization
founded by her daughter Dianne (Sig) to honor women in
Cache Valley and surrounding areas.
After her husband's death, Evelyn moved to Austin,
Texas. Their daughter Kay had always shared her
holidays with her parents. Now that she and Evelyn
were in the same city, they continued to share
holidays, travel to the Texas coast and experience
Austin's theatre scene.
Her illness brought her to Providence Assisted Living
in 2002 near Sig and Larry where she enjoyed weekends
at their loon Street Garden.
God has called His daughter home to tend His heavenly
garden. She will always be remembered as a loving
friend, wife and mother.
