Ina JoAnn Meeks, 75, passed away Saturday, April 3,2004 at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

JoAnn was born April 3, 1929 in Callaway, Nebraska to John Milton and Mabel Horn. She attended Tuckerville country school in Nebraska. She married Albert Eugene Walmer and they had one son Clifford Michael Walmer. They later divorced and she married Oscar Thomas Russell and they had one son Thomas Milton Russell. After they divorced she married Earl Walter Meeks on April 15, 1961.

JoAnn became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-ay Saints on February 14, 1981 and was sealed in the Provo Temple to her beloved Husband Earl Walter Meeks in June 1985.

Her parents, six sisters, eight brothers, husband and son, Clifford Michael Walmer, precede her in death. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Shoemaker (Miller, Nebraska) and Jean Howell (Denver, Colorado), her son Thomas (Brenda), 3 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren (Logan, Utah).

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their love and support while caring for their mother and grandmother. The family also extends their gratitude to Dr. Barton Avery for 12 years of care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Logan 12th Ward Chapel, located at 940 Three Point Avenue, Logan, Utah. Friends may call at the church between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday before the services. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
