Jimmy Kostoff, 81, died peacefully Monday, July 14, at Heritage Park Care Center in Roy, Utah. He was born February 10, 1922, in Trenton, Utah, to Jim and Bogdona Kostoff.

He attended North Cache High School in Richmond, Utah, and graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1944. Jimmy served in the US. Navy from June, 1944 until September of 1946. From 1946 to 1953 he was design engineer with the US Bureau of Reclamation. He then was employed by Weber Basin Water Conservancy District where he was Chief Engineer until becoming self-employed as a consulting engineer in 1979.

He was married to Connie Obray until her death in 1981. He had lived in Fruit Heights since 1972, where he enjoyed raising roses. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He also was preceded in death by his brothers; Kelly, Nako, and Christo. Jimmy is survived by his son, James O. Kostoff of Brigham City, Utah; Daughter, Mary Kostoff, of Phoenix, Arizona and daughter, Ruth Mason of Fruit Heights. Also surviving are grandchildren. Amber. Jenny. Megan and Stephen Kostoff and Heather and Jenette Mason.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2003, in the Trenton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan.
