Lorna Dee Saunders Williamson
Lorna Dee passed away peacefully in Brigham City, Utah
on May 13, 2004 at the age of 65 following a long
battle with multiple sclerosis.
Lorna was born January 1, 1939. She was the youngest of five children born to
Elmer S. Saunders and Thelma S. Davies in Ogden, Utah.
Her family moved to Missoula, Montana when Dee was two
years old. She graduated from Missoula Community High
School, now known as Hellgate High School. During her
twenties Lorna moved to Utah where she later married
Don H. Williamson.
Following their marriage, Don and Lorna made their
home in Missoula, Montana. Don and Lorna are parents
to three children: Lori Ann Scriver (Michael), Ronald
Dean Williamson (Michele), and Michael Don Williamson
(LeeAnn Dean). Don and Lorna were divorced after
twenty-five years of marriage. In 1998 Lorna moved to
Logan, Utah, then later to Brigham City, Utah.
Lorna worked for several years for Intermountain
Sawmill Credit Union as its manager until her
retirement in 1980.
Lorna is preceded in death by her father, Elmer; her
mother Thelma; her sister Barbara Bryant; and her son
Michael.
She is survived by her children Lori Scriver of Hyrum,
Utah and Ronald Williamson of Lolo, Montana; her
sister Joyce Hudson of Eureka, Montana; her brother
Vern Saunders (Thelma) of Missoula, Montana; her
sister Helen Fey (Walter) of Great Falls, Montana; and
ten grandchildren: Brandon M. Scriver, Brittney A.
Miller (David), Eric H. Scriver, Tyler W. Scriver,
Crystal D. Scriver, Lindsay Beck, Mathew J. Scriver,
Misty Dawn Williamson, Logan Dean Williamson, and
Madison Dean.
Lorna was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was
addicted to Coca Cola and John Wayne movies. She was
ever cheerful and faced life with a smile. She had a
terrific sense of humor and according to her
grandchildren was a bit of a kook, but they loved her
anyway. She loved to laugh. She was a courageous woman
and a wonderful example to her grandchildren.
She touched the lives of all who knew her. She loved her
children and especially her grandchildren very much.
Lorna was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. She believed death was
not an end, but simply a birth into a new realm of
life. She knew that life is eternal. She has gone on
to a new place where she is not bound by illness or a
wheelchair. She will take care of her grandchildren
who have not yet made it to earth until such time as
their parents come to take over the task. She is loved
very much and will be missed by all.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will
conduct graveside services. Services will be held May
19, 2004 at Missoula Cemetery. There will be no
viewing prior to the services. Pallbearers will be Ron
Williamson, Michael Scriver, Brandon Scriver, Eric
Scriver, Tyler Scriver, and David Miller. Honorary
pallbearers include Mathew J. Scriver and Logan D.
Williamson. Allen-Hall Mortuary of Logan, Utah

Montana handled funeral arrangements.
While there will be no services held in Logan or

cared for her and touched her life, "We could not have
done it with out you".
