HYDE PARK ,UTAH: Martha Saperston, 47, wife, sister, friend, died at her home on Monday, January 19, 2004 after an extended eight year illness.

Martha was born in Austin, Texas and lived there until 1987 when she and her husband Bruce came to Logan. Many remember Martha for her infectious laugh and love of life. Her courageous spirit may have departed this earth but it will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce, her mother, Bettye Rogers, a sister, Lisa Sands and her partner Joan Ballach, her nephew, Mark Sands, step-brother, Kent and his wife, Loretta, nephew, Russell and mother-in-law, Athleen Saperston. She was preceded in death by her father, David Sands and her brother, Mark Sands.

There will be a visitation at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 23, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the First Presbyterian Church, 200 West Center. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
