Norma Bodrero Gudmundson
SAN RAFEAL, CA: Norma Bodrero Gudmundson, 83, was
born to Louis F. and Bessie Bodrero in Logan, Utah on
September 25, 1920. She died December 12, 2003. She
was active in Logan High School as a Band Sponsor and
also sang in the High School Choir. She married
Westerdahl W. Gudmundson on September 29, 1940. They
lived in Oregon and California during his service with
the US Army. They spent the last 48 years of their
married life in Marin County.
While in Marin, Norma was a tireless worker for the
March of Dimes, and Lawyers Wives of Marin. She also
volunteered in the Tea Room for the Ross Art and
Garden Center for 25 years. Until illness prevented
her involvement, Norma was active for the past three
decades in the Marin and Novato Republican Women
Federated and she was on the Board of Directors of the
CFRW Northern Division. She also took photos for and
compiled the History Books and President’s books for
those clubs.
Norma faithfully attended the Northern
Division Republican Conventions and was dedicated to
driving other members of the Republican Women
Federated who were unable to drive themselves. She
made it her mission to help those women who were
alone, ill, or needed help.
Norma is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wes
Gudmundson, her daughters and their spouses, Betty
Buzzell and Gill, Linda Leete and Paul, Reta and John
Bugay , her son and his wife, John Gudmundson and Hye.
She also leaves seven grandchildren and four
great-grand children.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM in the
Logan City Cemetery on Thursday, December 18, 2003. A
viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to
8:00 PM at the Allen–Hall Mortuary in Logan. The
family will hold a celebration in honor of her life
for friends and family at her home in San Rafael in
January 2004. Contributions may be made to American
Cancer Society or Hospice of Marin.
