Norman Owen Sorensen, 66, our beloved husband, father, and grandpa, passed away Monday, April 12, 2004 in Logan, Utah. He was born in Logan on June 10, 1937 to Owen Joseph Sorensen and Mozelle Barrett Sorensen.

He spent his early years in Mendon and there attended the elementary school in Mendon and graduated from South Cache High School. Then later joined the National Guard.

He worked hard all of his life for the Union Pacific, State Roads, Thiokol, the Sugar Factory in Garland, then worked for 30 Years for the Defense Logic Department in Ogden, where he retired in 1993. He had a great love for his grandchildren, and enjoyed his outdoor gardening and seasonal decorating.

He is survived by his wife Myra, Logan; 4 daughters Debbie (Stephan) Madsen, Smithfield; Kristine (Paul) Beatty, Grove City, Ohio; JoAnn (Bret) Larsen, Logan; Brenda (Todd) Schvaneveldt, Preston; and nine grandson, one granddaughter; one sister Doreen (Blaine) Taylor, Mendon; one brother in law, Stanley Boyer, Springville. He preceded in death by his parents Owen and Mozelle Sorensen, one sister Pauline Boyer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 12:00 pm in the Park Ave Ward Chapel, 940 West Three Point Ave with Bishop Happy Ditton conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:30 - 11:45 am. Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery.
