Robert Cyril Nelson Age 51 passed away Thursday September 4, 2003 at his parent’s home in Nibley, Utah. Robert was born December 29, 1951 in Ogden, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his father Cyril Joseph and mother Viola S. Nelson of Nibley. He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Carol Nelson of Florence, Arizona. He is the father of four children; Rebecca (Robert) Reynold, Tiffiny (Niel) Nelson-Lecher, Lisa Wallace and Joshua (Emily) Nelson, all of Utah, two step children Lavon Spurlock, and Jason Donaldson of Arizona, and 10 Grandchildren.

The brother of Darlene (Burnell) Hall of ID., Peggy Nelson of Utah, Nancy (Kirby) Johnson of California, Jack (Teresa) Nelson, Dawna (Randy) Shurtz and Tom (Tresa) Nelson of Utah. Robert graduated from Sky View High School in 1970.

Robert spent most of his life working in law enforcement, with Cache County Sheriffs and Logan City Police while living in Utah. In 1986 he moved to Arizona where he worked as a Branch Manager for a Security company and in 1996 until the time of his death worked for CCA as a correctional officer. While attending high school, Robert was a member of the FFA, and was an active member of the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints.

A viewing will be on Sunday, September 7, 2003 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 8, 2003 at the Nibley 5th Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of services. Burial at the Hyrum City Cemetery.
