Sidney Anderson
MALTA-Sidney Anderson, 65, Beloved Husband, Father,
Grand Father, Fishing Buddy, and Friend passed away
suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, July 25, 2003 in
Soda Springs Idaho while fishing with old friends.
Born September 24, 1937 in Logan, Utah to Lyman and
Loretta (Qualman) Anderson. He married Ruth Lofgreen on August 14, 1971. Their
marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on
August 14, 1984.
Sidney graduated from South Cache High School. Served
in the U.S. Army as a Regular and as a Reservist.
Sidney and Ruth moved from Millville Utah to Malta,
Idaho in 1982.
While living in Utah Sid worked for Stucki Miller
construction and built several custom homes.
In Malta he worked at Interstate Feeders doing
maintenance and on his farm until open-heart surgery
forced him into early retirement in 1999.
In his spare time Sidney loved being with family and
friends, remodeling his and his friend’s homes working
with wood, being outdoors camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, four children
Deborah (Fred) Krauth of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; Ronald
(Paula) Miller of Logan, Utah; Leslie (Ric) Nunnally of
Hyrum, Utah; Sherrie (Ed) Stuckert of LaHabra, California; Shanon
Anderson of Logan, Utah. Nine grandchildren Kaleb, Rashad,
Ryan, Alexander, Elizabeth, Nathan, Amber, Madilyne
and Blake. His sister Aloma Hammond, and four brothers
Sheldon (Shirley) Johnson, Val (Marla) Anderson, Leon
(Effie) Anderson, Leone (Viola) Anderson.
His father, mother, twin brother Sylvan, sisters Joy,
Dorine, and son Bret preceded him in death.
“You are gone from our world, but will live forever in
our hearts. Save us a spot on the river. We Love You."
Relatives and friends can visit on Wednesday, July 30,
2003 at Allen-Hall Mortuary 38 East Center Logan, Utah
from 6 to 8 PM. Memorial services will be held
Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Millville Second Ward 360
East 450 North from 12 to 1PM. Relatives and friends
can call between 10:30 and 11:30 the day of memorial
services at the Millville Second Ward.
