Savona Laura Naylor Bodrero
Savona Laura Naylor Bodrero, 86, died Friday, July 16,
2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on April 5,
1918 in Nibley, Utah a daughter of Ishmael and Laura
Webb Naylor. She married Edward Theodore Bodrero on
December 21, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died on
January 1, 1993. She graduated from Logan High School
in 1938.
She was a devoted housewife, mother and sister. She
worked on a farm alongside her husband and children
for many years. She loved growing flowers and
gardening.
As a young lady, she performed many baptisms for the
dead. Later in life, she served as a primary teacher
and relief society teacher when she resided in Logan
for the LDS Church.
As a young child she resided in Ogden during the
Depression. She resided in Logan until 1977 and lived
in Salt Lake City until she died.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Gary
Edward (Dorothy), Preston, Idaho; Ronald Dee (Carol),
Brigham City, Utah; Carolyn, Salt Lake City; Vern
Clyde, West Jordan; and DeeAnn, Salt Lake City; five
grandchildren, Heather, Vern Jr., Stephanie, Kimberly
and Tracey; two great grandchildren. One sister,
Hazel Naylor Smith, Smithfield, Utah; brother-in-law,
Llewelyn Bodrero, Mesa, Arizona and sister-in-law,
Evelyn Smith, Logan, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three
brothers, William, Melvin and Donald Naylor and a
grandson, Timothy Jeffrey Bodrero.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday,
July 22, 2004 in the Cottonwood Heights 1st Ward
Chapel, 7075 South 2250 East, Salt Lake City. Friends
may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center
Street, Logan on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. or at
the Church on Thursday, from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to
services. Graveside services will be at the Logan City
Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
